Intro to Encaustic Painting with Becky Stromberg
Encaustic painting is all the BUZZ lately! Come discover the fun and flexibility of painting with molten beeswax in this 3 hour workshop! You will cover setting up, safety, making encaustic paint from encaustic medium, preparing substrates, applying encaustic paint, fusing, and framing ideas for finished pieces. Space for 4 students!

Beginning Watercolor
with Paula Ensign
In this positive, friendly environment, learn basic watercolor techniques including making washes, mixing colors and controlling water flow. Learn to compose a painting from photos or nature itself. Class begins with short demo, followed by plenty of time for practice and discussion.

Digging Deeper- Encaustic Mark Making Workshop

In this class we will literally dig into our encaustic paintings! Learn to incorporate mark making, incising, scraping and building texture by using a few fun tricks and tools. Space for 4 students allowing plenty of time to learn through experimenting with guidance.

Collage painting - Combine vintage papers and photographs with acrylic paint. Learn how to design and create depth and interest in your work using a variety of painting techniques and image transfer.

Exploring Calligraphywith Kathryn Barker
This class will focus on the Italic Hand, often considered the most versatile and beautiful of scripts. Demonstrations, historical examples, and individual attention will be emphasized as we learn this lovely script and discover its many uses. Projects and personal applications round out the learning experience.
